Initially,
BetaRam supplied
replacement and
perishable tools including
tube cutoff die sets, die
jaws and blades. Within a
few years this activity led
to the identification of
a substantial need in the
tube making community for
high quality, high performance
flying shear machinery. With
this realization, the BetaRam team
went to work on the design
of a totally new flying
shear machine with dimple
free cutoff capability. The
machine main frame was designed
to deliver high cutting force
capability while delivering
high cuts per minute performance.
A new dimple free die set
was developed that gives
the unusual capability to
set up the die jaws off line.
This design makes it possible
to change the dimple free
die set to a new tube size
in minutes. |
